About This Website - Snippets of Life

Snippets of Life is a website about women’s lifestyle, fashion and living a balanced and fulfilling life.

It also covers topics on family, parenting, children, food, art, design, photography, and online shopping.

It focuses on being inspiring, positive, humourous, optimistic, passionate, fashionable, motivated, productive, creative, and to live a happy, fulfilled and balanced life.

This site has also being ranked as 15th in “Top 100 Australian Blogs” and
2nd in the “Top 50 Australian Women’s Blogs”.

About The Author - Karen Cheng

Karen Cheng has a BA Design / Advertising. She has worked as an art director, web designer and graphic designer, in Singapore and Australia.

She currently lives in Perth, Western Australia, with her husband and her two sons.

Karen is passionate about her family, art & design, cooking, reading, keeping active, shopping, and living a balanced and fulfilled life.

How This Website Began

This site started in 1999 as a “Personal Website” - before the days of “Blogs” and “Weblogs”.

Looking for a job as a web designer, Karen geared this site towards “selling herself” to prospective employers as a whole person - her work, her personality, her quirks, her interests, stories, talents and her own personal style.

Over the years it evolved to an online journal, to what it is now – an adored website read by thousands from all over the world each day.
