What I Wore: Gingham + Big Sleeves

6 July 2017

Hello Parry Gingham + Flare Jeans

Hey hey!

Recently I had to attend a couple of client meetings – 4 in one week, which was quite a lot for me, and this was one of my outfits. The nice thing about working as a “creative” is that you can just wear any crazy, old thing and everyone just shrugs their shoulders haha.

Now I don’t think that this top is THAT crazy, but it certainly is eye-catching and the sleeves are very different.

Voluminous sleeves are back in a big way and I love rocking mine. They are super fun to wear and a great way to elevate a casual outfit.

Basically it means I can wear jeans more often and not feel like I’m “underdressed”.

This top is the Naomi Gingham Top by Hello Parry. It has a boxy body, which gives it a relaxed and airy feel to it, that balances out the extravagant sleeves.

It’s like a cotton, button-down shirt, where you can wear it tucked in or out. But I prefer to tuck it in, so it accentuates my waist.

Hello Parry Gingham + Flare Jeans

The top is made from a cotton blend material, so it’s strong, light and feels lovely. Funnily, it doesn’t need much ironing (which is great), but I haven’t washed it yet.

The sleeves are pretty cool. They drape nicely, the cuffs are loose (not elasticated), and they are not so long that they get in the way of you doing stuff with your hands – very important!

There are quite a few lovely statement tops at Hello Parry (Vol 1 Collection); an off shoulder version of this top, a gingham wrap top with ruffle sleeves, more ruffles, stripes and big cuffs!

Hope you spot something you like!

I’m also wearing Rag & Bone Flare Jeans, Stuart Weitzman Heels, Rebecca Minkoff Quilted Bag and Sportsgirl Sunglasses.
