Review: Grana Turkish Denim Cropped Jeans

A few months ago, I bought a few pairs of jeans from Grana.

They were on a Clearance Sale and I picked them up for $30 each. I did this so I could rip, cut and distress them! One was a “High-Rise Flare Style” and the other was a “Mom Style”. I bought Size 25, which is my usual size, and they BOTH fit perfectly around my waist, hips, bottom and thighs. But they were waaay too long in the leg, which was fine, because I’m used to that, plus I was cutting them up anyway.

But my review is not about those jeans.

The lovely team at Grana sent me a pair of their New Turkish Denim Cropped Jeans for me to try out and review!

I LOVED the fact that they were cropped. No cutting up required haha. Although I did roll up the cuffs twice to accentuate the cropped style and to show off my ankles.

These Turkish Denim Jeans felt soft, but they were still thick and firm.

They hugged well and the “high” waist was at a good height (not too high).

My only issue is that I asked for a size 25, but it was just a bit too tight for my liking.

I tried wearing it over 4 separate occasions, thinking that maybe I was just imagining it, or maybe they will loosen up over a few wears, or maybe I was having a bloated day? Nope.

The Size 25 was too tight around my waist and hips. Strange that other people said that the jeans were “true to size”. To me they felt like active compression leggings (I had to suck in my tummy to zip up) and they pinched my thighs when I sat down… which is not what I’m looking for in jeans. So I guess, next time I’ll be getting a size up!

The good news is that these jeans are a pretty good price (AUD$85) and they come in cute colours like white, blush, khaki, dark blue, light blue (no black though).
