Ok people, apparently the colours tan, camel and brown are back in fashion for the next few seasons.
Let me talk about that for a moment.
In the 1970s, the colour brown was huge. It came back in fashion again in the early 2000s, and it was then I fell in love with the colour and embraced it until… um, half my wardrobe was brown?
I had clothes in tan, camel, coffee, caramel, mocha, cappuccino, and dark chocolate brown. So much dark brown!
Once I got over that phase, I kept a few camel and tan coloured items, but I got rid of everything else.
I really don’t like brown now. I associate it with an older generation and my naive following of a fashion trend. I can’t shake off the feeling. Is it just me?
So I won’t be sporting any brown this season. In fact, I’m going to colour my hair back to black.
I like tan and camel though!
I have kept a camel coloured coat, a tan leather jacket, a tan coloured parka, a shirt, a dress, camel coloured pants and a pencil skirt.
So it’ll be nice to drag them out of storage and add a hint of colour to my daily monochrome palette.
