I was so lucky to have scored a new Alexander Wang blazer from The Outnet!
I have been looking for a good quality, black, classic style blazer for a looong while now. After a bit of research, I reluctantly accepted that I was going to pay around $250-$300 for one, so it had better be exactly what I wanted.
Originally I looked at SABA, Country Road and Witchery for a simple blazer. But it was really difficult for me to find one in my size, that fit me nicely. I tried on a few and found that either the sleeves were much too long or the shoulders were a bit too small.
The current and popular style at the moment is the “boyfriend, relaxed and loose-fitting look” which is really just a big and baggy style. Honestly, I don’t really like that shapeless style and I don’t think it’s very classic or timeless.
But then I fell in love with this jacket from Anine Bing (which had a slightly relaxed shape), but they didn’t have my size either!
I love fashion and clothes and all, but seriously, there’s no way I could justify that much money on one piece of clothing.
It was reduced to AUD$100 – so much less than my initial budget!! So happy!!
It was a bit of a risk, because I bought it without trying it on. But I figured that it was an Alexander Wang item, and I’m sure I could resell it for $200+ on ebay?
Well, it arrived. It fit me perfectly. And I can’t wait to wear and show it off! Yay!
I bought a US Size 0. This style is no longer on sale, but there are a few others (here) from Alexander Wang, Helmet Lang, Karl Lagerfeld, Stella McCartney and J. Crew.
