After much use, my non-leather, Korean-brand, strappy heels have finally worn out and are now unwearable (here’s a picture of me wearing them).
This ankle-strap style is quite common, so I thought it was going to be easy to find a replacement. No such luck.
I spent a few weeks looking for a real leather pair (from any brand!), but for some reason this strappy style makes it difficult for me to find the right size. A size 6 pair was always too big and a size 5 (if there were even any in stock) was always way too small.
Anyway I discovered that Tony Bianco does half sizes… so I went traipsing around town trying to find a store that sells Tony Bianco shoes in a size 5.5. Couldn’t find one!
Finally I just took a gamble and bought myself a lovely pair in size 5.5, called Libby from Styletread Online Shoes (pictured above). They were in the exact colour, style and size that I wanted. Plus it was on 50% off sale – and it still is!
They arrived a few days later, they fit me perfectly, they are so comfortable, they feel great to wear and they’re just perfect. I’m so happy with them.
I also had my eye on a lower heel version called Porshar (pictured left – also by Tony Bianco) and a lace up version called Ocean (pictured right and on 40% off sale). But I decided against buying a different style, since I already knew that I would wear my original style to death!
So here’s a time saving suggestion: if you think you might need a pair of heels in half sizes… Tony Bianco has a nice range, online!
