Look at my amazing dress by In Good Company! It is called the RIKKI dress featuring a special edition collaboration print by designer and illustrator, Kuanth.
The dress is part of their latest collection, which is now on sale, online. The collection is full of minimal lines, drapes and tucks, loose lines and wide silhouettes. I have a few more pieces to show off, so keep an eye out!

I love the print! It’s so unusual, striking, modern and whimsical. The asymmetric hem, the high neckline and the long drape of the dress, makes it quite a statement to wear.
I’m wearing the XS which fits me perfectly. I’m usually a size UK6 / AUS6.
I’ve paired the dress with an equally minimal and striking heels by Alexander Wang.

And this is the fascinator that I have made. I wanted to create something simple, artful, aesthetically pleasing and… possibly make an intellectual statement of some kind.
I brain stormed ideas about deconstructing a high heel shoe and using the pieces to turn it into an abstract sculpture… or tearing up a dress and turning it into a flower. You know, as a statement about recycling fashion, and when is fashion rubbish, and rubbish fashion? :P
But in the end I decided that I wouldn’t get too serious… and just chose to make the head piece out of a very ordinary material, to make it look unusual and surprising.
I chose reticulation garden hose as my material! And I meticulously crafted a floral shaped head piece. I made several prototypes to perfect my joins and my edges, so you couldn’t see any glue, or string or anything that made it look daggy and DIY.
It turned out really well! It was really strong, well-balanced and I really liked it. It looked a bit weird and insect-like too.
AND it totally matched my dress!!

My hair has been lovingly coloured and curled by the team at Curi Hair – Korean hair salon in Perth.
Thank you guys!
I am looking forward to a fab day out!
