I drink cow’s milk in my tea, coffee, and protein shakes. And I’ve always felt “full” after drinking it.
However, lately, the feeling of “fullness” has turned into me feeling “bloated”, “heavy” and sometimes… I just feel so uncomfortable (and FULL) in my tummy that I just want to puke! Goodness knows why I have put up with it for so long!
Anyway, I recently made the switch to almond milk, and oh my, I’m never looking back.
It tastes a little like mild soy milk. But thinner and just slightly nuttier than soy milk. It doesn’t taste like almond jelly at all. I really like it :)
I have been buying unsweetened almond milk from the supermarket. But you can actually make your own – and I might give it a go next week.

Blueberry and Almond Milk Smoothie
It is so SO good. It’s been amazing for me, because I can slam down 300ml of this stuff and NOT feel yucky and heavy in my tummy after.
And 1 scoop of your favourite protein powder.
Just whiz 4 ice cubes, 200ml of almond milk and 1 teaspoon of instant coffee.
