While I love to dress up, play with trends and put together outfits when I go out and on my blog, when it comes to my “daily mummy duties” I prefer to dress a little more… conservatively.
Meaning – when I’m dropping my kids off at school and going to toddler gym, I most certainly WON’T be “experimenting with layered textures” and wearing sequined leggings with a fur jacket. I’m not a hardcore fashionista… I like to dress appropriately.
During my “mummy duties”, I like to wear simple, classic-styled outfits which make me feel comfortable and happy.
So today I thought I’d share a few winter outfits.
I love these tan boots by Ecco – they are so, so, so comfy! They are definitely a staple for many winter outfits for years to come.
The stripe jumper was a new purchase. I already have a few stripey tops/jumpers, but the style of it – slouchy cut, bat wing arms, and a slightly cropped front and 100% wool… it was an irresistible buy. Not to mention it was on sale.
Ok maybe this outfit isn’t so conservative for “mummy duties”… but hey, my day also consisted of “lunching with girlfriend duties”.
I recently acquired a blue leather jacket from YesStyle. I adored it so much that I had to wear it that day. And I paired it with a pair of velvet pants that I bought when I was 17.
And this outfit was a bit of a cheat from the previous outfit, because I decided that I wasn’t going to walk into my son’s classroom and speak to his teacher, while wearing a blue leather jacket.
So I popped on this stone coloured blazer from Al & Alicia, and loved how it looked!
