Colour Clashing
13 April 2011The other day I was inspired by the glorious sunny weather, and put together an outfit using a few brightly coloured bits and pieces from my wardrobe.
I have quite a few coloured items – red tops, pink camisoles, purple skirts. And it was quite nice to drag them all out and play with all the possible colour combinations.
The Aqua Top is by Al&Alicia, a casual tank with a mesh cut out at the waist. I might wear it with a bright purple skirt next time.
The blue skirt is by Marnie Skillings, an Australian label with very quirky and playful looks. I love the origami fold detail, it’s one of my favourite skirts, because it looks great with any top. I got it from online boutique, Fashion Artiste.
The orange shoes are by GlamRockChic. They are orange suede with gold chain detail – just fabulous!
The belt is actually a vintage gold necklace by Australian designer Joveeba.
The trench coat is a tan 70s style belted mac from ASOS.
And I’m wearing some gold polish on my nails. It was just a cheap bottle I bought from a pharmacy, but the colour was just gorgeous – more like a lovely mix of champagne rose gold.
